Apparently user data can be recovered from the refurbished iPhones. One detective from Oregon State Police managed to recover user personal data like emails, photos and more from an out-of-the-box refurbished iPhone he bought.

Iphone developer Jonathan Zdziarski notes that

According to reports originating from Russia, Apple is due to launch a localized iTunes Music Store in Russia on the 21st of April 2008.

Billboard ads that could be seen around Moscow, as well as a banner on the website itunes-store.ru, owned and operated by Apple, all state that Apple is currently in the process of preparing and launching the iTunes Music Store in Russia.

Now that iPhone has almost become an open platform for third party software development, we can expect tons of new exciting applications that will make it into a much more useful thing, then a fancy phone and media player.
