The iPhone 5 hype is building to a fevered pitch lately with more rumors that you can shake a stick at. Today a photo that was supposedly taken using an iPhone 5 camera has surfaced. The photo apparently hints it was taken with an iPhone 4. However, the EXIF data doesn’t match that. The EXIF data shows that the photo was cropped to 5MP from its original 8MP size. The iPhone 5 is said to have an 8MP camera. The location data suggests that the photo came from Cupertino whilst someone with the phone was having lunch. That iPhone 5 might be close but the iPhone 4 is still selling well. The iPhone 4 has still been the top selling phone on AT&T and Verizon. On AT&T the iPhone 3GS is still the second most popular smartphone. The devices show no signs of letting up either.

The Verizon iPhone 4 has gone on pre-order for everyone and you better order fast. The phone sold out on the first Verizon customer only pre-order in only a few hours. Google has offered the Translate app for the iPhone. The app will let you type in whatever text you want to translate and then it will turn it into other languages. You can say the phrases into the app and have them translated too. EA is having a big sale on its games in the App store. The problem with Wi-Fi reception appears when the device is held snugly in landscape orientation with two hands, a position common when playing games or using the widescreen keyboard, which is being referred to as the “death hug.” It should be noted that although early Apple-sanctioned reviews of the Verizon iPhone 4 claimed that the antenna problems had been fixed in the CDMA model, the same reviewers failed to notice the antenna problems in their original coverage of the GSM model. Once again, use of a protective case appears to fix the antenna issue, and antenuation may not be noticeable in areas with stronger signal strength.
