iMessage bug, Google hires Apple worker, switching between the iPhone 4S and Android

Android, google, news, security February 6th, 2012

Over the last few days, there’s been a lot of talk about a flaw in iMessage that allows people to spy on your text messaging. If you ever wondered what hard-core Android geek would think if he had to switch from Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich to the iPhone 4S SlashGear/Android Community’s Chris Burns is doing just that. Check out what he thinks about the move here .

HOW TO: Use YTLive Web App To Watch YouTube Live Streams On iOS Devices

app, Apple, Flash, google, ios, iPad, iPhone, iPod, iPod Touch, live, news, Safari, streaming, video, Web app April 28th, 2011

HOW TO: Use YTLive Web App To Watch YouTube Live Streams On iOS Devices Post from: FSMdotCOM Watching YouTube on an iOS device can be a pleasant experience, unless you’re trying to view the service’s Live content. YouTube Live — its answer to Ustream, Livestream, and other streaming video services — was recently launched after months of limited trials. Wonderful news, of course, but there is just one catch: it uses Flash to provide the streaming instead of HTML5. At first, this meant iOS users were left uninvited to the party, but a savvy developer sensed the coming frustration and built YTLive, a web app enabling YouTube Live streams on Safari. Let’s see how to use it. 1. Go to http://youtube.com/live/ 2. Enter the selected channel and copy the link on the Streaming Title (Example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zr9CHCH6dYE) 3. Go to http://l1-live.appspot.com/ and paste the copied streaming title into the appropriate box and tap on watch. 4. That’s it, enjoy. NOTE: Only works in Safari, and iOS 3.3 and newer.
