iPhone revolver case is dangerous, Verizon iPhone in November, Skype 3G VoIP

news May 31st, 2010

A geek with a DIY passion and a 3D printer has created a iPhone case as dangerous as it is cool. The thing has the handle of a revolver sure to get you shot if you use it in front of a cop. An analyst claimed late last week that the iPhone would be landing at Verizon in November . We also heard last week that Sprint would be getting the device in September. I will believe it when I see it. A new version of Skype for the iPhone landed last week. The app is now at version 2.0.0 and gets 3G VoIP call capability.

With all the leaks surrounding the iPhone 4G or HD assuming the device is actually unveiled at WWDC 2010 next month there will be little that Apple can do to surprise us. AT&T unlocks all but iPhone, Verizon customers want iPhone, no more iPhone 3G 8GB orders for AT&T

iPhone, news May 25th, 2010

This is really a not surprising to me; Verizon customers want the iPhone according to an analyst. Research shows that 16.8% of all Verizon Wireless customers want the iPhone. That is a lot of people. AT&T has announced that it will allow customers to unlock any device that is offered on its network, except the iPhone. The announcement is the result of a class action lawsuit filed against the company. It appears that AT&T is getting set to remove the iPhone 3G in 8GB guise. Reports are coming in that there are no more orders for the 8GB iPhone 3G being placed. This could well be preparation for the new iPhone rumored for next month.

AAA iPhone App, iPhone most important to Brits, China iPhone sales

iPhone, news May 20th, 2010

AAA has released a new iPhone app that offers users voice navigation. The app offers fuel prices and more like AAA approved hotels and restaurants. A new survey was published yesterday and according to the survey, Brits would rather have their iPhone than a flushing toilet. The iPhone was number eight on a list of 100 items with the flushing toilet at nine. The most important thing was the wheel. The Wall Street Journal is trying to shed some light on why the iPhone has sold so poorly in China. Folks point to the price, the grey market alternatives and other things, but a survey has shown that the real reason is the unpopular China Unicom carrier.
