Will Apple bring haptic feedback to the iPhone?

news, rumors April 29th, 2008

One thing that would certainly be nice for the iPhone, is some sort of feedback when you press an on screen key. The answer to this, is dilemma, is haptic feedback. This technology has already made it’s way to quite a few touch devices, like the Voyager on Verizon, and the LG PRADA. Haptic feedback provides a type of virtual interaction with with a device, it helps simulate a more traditional key stroke.

Immersion Logo

The aim of haptic feedback is to make users aware of a touch interaction with their device, such as a key stroke or selection. The technology is most often used by LG for their touch enabled devices. In the game of haptic feedback, Immersion is a major player. They currently provide the haptic feedback for LG devices, several Nokia devices, and even a few non mobile phone applications of the technology as well.

There has been a little executive association between Immersion and Apple as well. Clent Richardson has been appointed as the new CEO of Immersion. Richardson was a former executive for Apple. This may lend this story some more credibility. Haptic feedback would be welcomed with open arms, so lets hope this one comes to fruition.

Slide to Unlock Babydoll

news April 24th, 2008

The Electronic Slide

You know how sometimes you’re trying to make out with someone, but you’re just not getting that desired reaction? You touch that other person and nothing happens? Well, we’ve done a little troubleshooting and identified the problem: that device is locked. It does that automatically after you haven’t interacted with it for a minute. You gotta follow the directions and “Slide to Unlock” to get your groove back.

Charcoal, cotton babydoll t-shirt has the iPhone Slide to Unlock interface printed across the chest. Note that if you wear this shirt to a bar, in all likelihood, folks are going to use it as an excuse to touch your breasts. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.

You can buy it here for $17.99

Twinkle updated

apps April 22nd, 2008

Twinkle adds clickable links

Twinkle – the native iPhone Twitter client with Locate Me features – has been updated, to Version 0.75.  It’s very late here and I’ve only just updated – but the big additions are:

  • *Clickable links*.  This had been one of or maybe the most requested feature, so it’s very nice to see it added to this update!
  • Follow and Stop Following buttons added – another big wish list item checked off
  • Embedded image URLs for non-Twinkle user – and another one

Back to the 2006

humor April 21st, 2008

Hey, nowadays everyone has iPhone. We use it everyday and everywhere. We are discussing latest rumors about iPhone 2.0. Turn back to the year 2006.

iPhone 2006

Mythical hybrid from cell phone and mp3 player from Apple. The most awaiting device of the year of 2006 which release was postponed a lot of times. It had to roll over all electronic gadget world as iPod rolled over musical industry. Geeks were in expectation line. All internet had a lot of rumors about that gadget and full of unbelievable pix.

It’s sounds funny but i can’t imagine my life without iPhone now and I come up against a little bit difficulty when i try to use regular push-button cell phone :)
